I'm really in love with La Haine, it's beautifully shot, written, acted and directed, and contains wonderfully relevant and important themes. I really love the unique and gritty style of La Haine, which perfectly fits the dark, tragic and also amusing and energetic tone of the film. We are introduced to the three main characters in the aftermath of a riot. Eventually the petrol bomb hits the ground and bursts into flames, This scene is revisited at the end of the film. He really becomes Vinz, and manages to create such an empathetic character. He goes from funny and goofy to totally menacing and dangerous, and it all feels so natural and real.
